Governance And Leadership
We are governed by a volunteer Board who bring a wealth of experience in business, community service, fundraising, volunteering and international development. Together, they provide oversight, accountability and strategic direction to ensure WFKA remains sustainable.
The Board works closely with the CEO, senior volunteers and specialist advisors to:
- Safeguard WFKA’s mission and values.
- Oversee financial management and compliance with Australian charity regulations.
- Guide fundraising, partnerships and advocacy efforts.
- Support long-term planning and organisational growth.

Committees And Expertise
The Board draws on sub-committees and working groups when needed, particularly in areas such as fundraising, operations and risk management. This flexible model ensures WFKA benefits from professional knowledge while keeping administration lean.

As a registered Australian charity, WFKA complies with the requirements of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
Audited financial statements are published to demonstrate our accountability to donors, partners and the children we serve.
Our Board
Board Chair: Jim Joseph
Jim chairs the Board of WFKA having a long association with the organisation as a member of Scarborough Rotary Club. He founded and ran his own successful manufacturing business Josco Australia from the 1970s, which continues under family ownership today. Jim brings a wealth of manufacturing and previous Board experience to this role.
CEO: Greg Hebble
Greg brings a wealth of experience and senior leadership to WFKA having served as CEO of Foodbank WA for 12 years, overseeing significant growth and expansion of the organisation and developing a sustainable framework for addressing food insecurity across WA. Prior to this Greg brings 20 years leadership experience in the food, manufacturing and distribution sectors across Western Australia and New South Wales. He also spent 15 years in voluntary roles with YMCA where he served in committee and board positions in both Perth and Sydney, including a term as President of YMCA Australia.
Board Director: Paul Coates
Paul is a qualified Accountant who holds Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors accreditation. He brings a wealth of not-for-profit experience in Executive and Board roles in the health and social housing sectors. He has worked in management consultancy for a leading international firm both in the UK and Africa. As the CEO of Carers WA 2008 to 2023 he saw through a significant expansion of the organisation making it the largest Carers Association in Australia. In this role Paul gained invaluable insight and expertise and securing sizeable government grants and has experience working with government, politicians and regulators at State and Federal levels.
Board Director: Martanki Mathew
Martanki is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Company Auditor, and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has over 12 years’ experience in finance, governance, and process improvement. Martanki currently serves as a Director of the Pedestrian Council and was previously Treasurer of the Western Australian Naturalists’ Club. She is also a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Dalkeith.
Board Directors: Mike McAuliffe
Mike is the Founder and MD of Braeco Sales Industrial (SME) since 1979 and brings expertise in financial and inventory management, offshore purchasing and logistics. He is a long-serving Rotarian of over 40 years and has a long history with WFKA. Mike is also a National Board member, Life Education Australia and Board Chair of Life Education WA.
Board Director: Gerry McGann
Gerry has had a distinguished career in oil and gas across five continents and was the Managing Director of two ASX listed companies. He has strong commercial, corporate and business expertise. Gerry is also a proud Rotarian, a recipient of 8 Paul Harris Fellows and is currently the Co-President of the Rotary Club of Mill Point. He was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for services to the Community in 2023.
Board Director: Lois Moir
Lois is an Occupational Therapist with strong skills-based clinical experience working with people with disability along with a decade-long association with WFKA. She has worked as a voluntary international consultant and trainer, supporting WFKA with the development of wheelchair designs, construction and fitting manuals. Lois has spent time in Bali, Philippines, Morocco, Mongolia, Kenya and East Timor training others to assess and fit children correctly and safely. She has authored numerous publications on Disability and Rehabilitation.
Board Director: Tina Williams
Tina is the CEO of Volunteering WA and brings extensive management and leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector, in both health and community organisations. Her skills and experience include Marketing & Stakeholder Engagement, Strategic Management, Governance and Advocacy. Tina ardently drives partnerships and collaborations to strengthen and grow support for volunteering and the sector. Her favourite pastime … volunteering!
Board Director: Jon Stokes
Jon is a Scarborough Rotary Club Director and is a Chartered Geologist and consulting senior geologist working in the mining industry across Australia and South America. Jon also brings strong work health and safety expertise and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) knowledge. He is MBA-qualified and contributes strategic management, fundraising, and communications expertise to the WFKA board.
